Pattern Cutting

Everybody asks what is a pattern?to break it down simply. A pattern is a template for a item of clothing. this is generally first drafted on paper. the paper resembles the shape of the pice of the garment it is going to be used for the front bodice pice looks like to the untrained eye the front of a item of clothing you have.

                Toiling

What is a toile? A toile is a very early prototype of the item of clothing you are going to make. Traditionally this is made from calico or if stretch a cheap jersey fabric. a toile usually is done just for shopping and deciding where pockets and trims go without them being placed on. For more information read through the site you will then have a better understanding of the process of developing garments for your brand.

Sampling

What is a clothing sample? A clothing sample is the first fully made made garment in your chosen fabrics, trims and sewn with the correct seam and hem finishes that you desire.

All the pattern cutting services you need, in one place.

We set up to offer a wide range of pattern cutting services to meet every type of clothingneed.
We wanted to help our clients who are starting out in the clothing industry to be Abel to get patterns, tech packs, toiles and grading done all undertone roof, with also helping them with the manufacturing process or pointing them in the right direction. Over the years with working with start upsI noticed them having really bad patterns and wanting to go straight to production without toiling them, or with awful ill fitting toilet sn not checking the pattern again. As I know start ups don't have a lot of money to waist like high fashion brands who can do 4 art 5 sample for start ups they need this done the first or maximum second sample. I aim to do this on the first toile so by the first same we will have fit or style preferences ironed out and have a production ready pattern. I can make any pattern from one to how ever many styles you want however this is not for me this is advice to you as a brand (if you are staring one) how can you start a brand with just one style? unless you are just developing a niche product that offers a particle and functional aspect to the garment and is not a fashion brand product just a niche product. If you have one style how will you be able to build a website based on this one style even if its in 3 colours? If your brand has a instagram account it will be boring based on say 3 different colours of the same item of clothing. I am here to help you start your brand and that is just free advice from me. I recommend starting a brand with at least 5 styles. If you have 5 styles in 3 colours then you have 15 images to play around with if done in combination with each other

This is the same for shipping stock to a customer. Once the garments have left our premises we are not liable if the shipment arrives damaged or gets lost.

PRODUCTION
We aim to complete most orders in 8-12 weeks, some orders could be made quicker. Orders can take up to 6 months from starting the order, this is all based on what you are making and quantities per order. If picking stock fabrics that are ready to be shipped to us for production then the timelines will be quicker. However if we are creating custom fabrics or labels/trims for your order, all fabric/trims and labels must be delivered to us prior to us starting. It is to our discretion if we are able to start the production a bit earlier on other designs that we have the fabric for.

GARMENT TOLERANCE
Please note there is garment sewing tolerances as all of our garments are cut and sewn by humans so small discrepancies in the sewing is possible and no garment will be 100% be the same as another.

SEWING THREADS
We will always do our best to colour match our threads to the fabric, however it might not be 100% possible to colour every single shade. So if you are adamant that a certain colour of thread must be used, then you must please provide the threads to us so we can use it in your samples and production.

FABRICS
If we are sourcing fabric and the fabric is being made to order specifically for your order, a rough timeline will be given to you as to how long it will take for the fabric to be made however as we are not making the fabric in-house, we are using fabric manufacturers to make the fabric for us. We cannot take responsibility for delays made on their side when making the fabric, it is out of our control. Due to various components are required to make your fabric such as weaving the yarns, dyeing and finishing the fabric there is a possibility for delays. Please ensure you take this into account in your critical path, it is always recommended to plan your order way in advance in case there is a delay. Then we can start production when we have all components - all fabrics, trims and labels. We recommend to all clients to always give theirselves a few extra months extra incase delays do occur so you do not miss your planned launch times and always plan way in advance your collection.

CUSTOM DYEING/ DYE BATCH
When our fabric manufacturers are custom dyeing your fabric, it is possible that there will be a small discrepancy between fabric rolls, the colour can come out slightly different which is normal. This again is normal when purchasing stock fabric from a supplier, there can be small differences to the fabric shade, again this is normal. Also please note that there can be small differences between the stretch of the fabric too, as the fabric could be made from different batches.
